When I was tasked with developing the PAJERO, my first question was: “What truly defines a PAJERO?”
The PAJERO has gained global trust and admiration, proving itself on countless roads and in various environments.

Our challenge was to honor this legacy while evolving it for a new era. For us, the essence of the PAJERO extends beyond exceptional off-road capability. It also involves delivering long-distance comfort, providing confidence in any driving situation, and expanding the possibilities of where people can go and what they can experience.
These qualities collectively define the PAJERO’s value.

Our development team aimed to preserve and enhance the capability and comfort central to the PAJERO’s character while improving the refinement and presence expected of MITSUBISHI MOTORS’ flagship SUV. We challenged ourselves to reinterpret the values established by previous generations and redefine them for modern expectations.

Throughout development, we consistently evaluated the vehicle on test courses replicating road conditions from around the world. From smooth highways to rough and demanding terrain, we fine-tuned every detail to ensure
the reassuring confidence and capability customers expect from a PAJERO.

As development progressed and the first prototype took shape, we felt genuine confidence. It was evident that the vehicle had inherited the essence of the PAJERO while opening a new chapter for the future. ALL NEW PAJERO was developed with a simple goal: to create a vehicle you will want to keep driving and never want to leave behind.
